I don't know what they are discussing here, but they looked so cute together having a Father/Daughter moment.
Emi was a little nervous, at first. But, once she pushed the pedal to the metal she lost all nervousness. Turns out, she's a really good driver! She whipped around that track, swerving in and out of traffic to try and be the first one back to the "pits".
Here she is lapping her Daddy!!
There were height restrictions on some of the tracks, so Kenzie had to wait 'til Daddy and Emi were finished with their race before she could drive.
Our little dare devil was so cautious and laid back about driving it took us all by surprise! We just knew she'd be barrelling her way through the other cars, causing wrecks and spin outs. But, NO! She drove slower than the rest (maybe because she couldn't really push the pedal all the way) and hugged the inside railing. She always had a super serious look on her face, but when you asked her if she had fun, she responded with a resounding "YES"!!
She kept her head pushed back against the seat (Perhaps to help her push the gas pedal?!)
This was actually her second race...the first one she and Emi drove together:
Once Emi got comfortable she would smile and whoo-hoo!
In her first race, Kenzie spun out! Actually, the girl in the green car kinda pushed her and caused her to spin out. Fortunately, her little accident did not deter her from driving again!
This picture cracks me up! That's Kenzie in the red car! The only way she could see was by leaning to the left or right!! Perhaps that was why she was driving so slow!! You can see Emi in the background in the yellow car. By this time, I think, Emi had lapped Kenzie 3 or 4 times!!
Here they are together...I believe this was taken at the beginning of the race. Emi is lapping Kenzie here!!
We did have a good time at the speed park! I enjoyed my time taking pictures (go figure!) and Chris enjoyed the simulator (way cool!) and driving the go carts with the girls! We ended the day with a crash: Emi got tangled up in a spin out...she hit pretty hard and hurt her neck (a little), bit her tongue, and had a little bruise and red marks from the seat belt/harness. She's o.k. now, but it scared us all a little. I don't think, though, that it was enough to keep them from visiting again!!
Thank you, Mamma and Pappa for a really fun time! We enjoyed your visit so much!!
