On Saturday the girls and I went down to Volunteer Landing to cheer Alana on in the Dragon Boat Races. She and Diana were on the "Unconditional Love Boat" for Knox Area Rescue Ministries. They won the first and second heats, but lost the third heat for the bronze metal. Way to go, girls!! You rock!!
Go Poppi Go!! Go Poppi Go!! Poppi was originally only supposed to help the teams register, but was recruited (or volunteered!) to help row for the "Aqua-holics" boat. They came in second in the first heat, so they didn't advance. Good try, Poppi!!!
After Dad and Alana's first heats, the girls played in the fountains to cool off.
